SQangles may be used for any pattern which contains half square triangles (HSTs). Just determine the FINISHED size of the HSTs used in the pattern. Traditionally patterns will add 7/8″ to the cut size of a square to allow for the diagonal seam to finish at the correct size. In other words, if the directions say to cut a square 3 7/8″, the finished size will be 3″ (the finished size is the size after it is sewn into the block) so use the 3″ SQangles. It’s much faster and totally accurate!
